Lauren Payne is the School Site Specialist for Blue Zones Project Riverside. Born and raised in Riverside, she is thrilled to support her city in health and wellness. Lauren is a graduate of UC Riverside with a masters in education from Chapman University. Lauren knew from a young age that, like her parents, her passion was education. From classroom instruction to school support, her greatest work is around our education system.

Before joining the Blue Zones team, Lauren was a long time employee of Riverside Unified School District, working as both a teacher and reading intervention specialist. During her time at RUSD, she worked collaboratively with teachers, school staff, parents, and students alike and looks forward to using those relationships to support the work of Blue Zones Project Riverside. Prior to her work in the public school system, Lauren worked for a nonprofit organization supporting foster youth in education.

Lauren currently lives in our beautiful city of Riverside with her three daughters, Stella, Lennox, and Isla. In her free time, Lauren enjoys baking, traveling, and cheering on her girls at their many activities.
