Ciara Thrower joins the Blue Zones, Riverside team as the Public Policy Coordinator aiding in building power relationships and expanding collective power to enhance quality of life outcomes throughout the City of Riverside. Thrower is a native of the Inland Empire and graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara with a Bachelors in Environmental Studies. 

Thrower seeks to understand how to create environmentally friendly, healthy and socially-just communities that celebrate diversity and enhance quality of life for all. She has worked with various non-profit organizations, government agencies, and local governments to collaborate towards this goal and create efficient public-private partnerships. 

When not advocating for the community, Ciara likes to downshift by going to boxing class, reading books and playing video games with her nephew.
