The workplace has strengthened employee well-being by creating a dedicated downshift space, incorporating wellness reminders throughout the workday, and sharing resources that support connection and healthy habits.

The City of Riverside Public Library system serves as a welcoming community hub, providing inclusive programs, resources, and spaces that support residents of all ages. As Blue Zones Project Approved worksites, the libraries have strengthened employee well-being through mindfulness practices, a Shared Leave Policy, and professional development opportunities that encourage connection, support, and healthy habits.

The Cookie Tin Cafe creates a welcoming space where guests can gather over fresh, locally sourced fare and thoughtfully crafted baked goods. The café supports community well-being through Blue Zones–inspired cookies made with longevity-focused ingredients, seasonal produce promotions, and partnerships that celebrate local agriculture, healthy choices, and giving back.

The Riverside Airport Cafe pairs a welcoming, community-centered dining experience with comforting meals and new Blue Zones–inspired options. To support healthier dining habits, the café introduced four Blue Zones–inspired dishes, two healthy kids' meal options, and table talkers that encourage mindful eating and balanced portions.

Twinhill Elementary School is a school community built around its “Path of Excellence,” fostering partnerships, aspirations, tenacity, and heart among its students and families. The school has strengthened student well-being through its downshift space, refreshed cafeteria messaging, and opportunities that encourage movement, connection, and healthy habits.

Wells Middle School is a diverse learning community that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional growth during their middle school years. With support from Blue Zones Project Riverside, Wells has enhanced student well-being through outdoor gathering spaces, family wellness events, and revitalized garden resources that promote connection, healthy habits, and hands-on learning.
